I always thought that there should be a listed devoted to those workmanlike "in-between" movies, not great movies but films well done, that best represent modern filmmaking.
Agreed. The select few that make the top ten lists every year wear out their welcome for me. I frankly get weary of seeing the same titles repeated over and over again, while perfectly fine titles get ignored.
Waitress is a lock for my best list, with Lars likely joining it. Enchanted will probably just miss.
It's beginning to look like Amy Adams won't get an Oscar nomination for Enchanted, despite some early buzz. Got to make room for those heavy dramas. Keri Russell is nomination-worthy, too, but she doesn't stand a chance.
