What, no "Tree of Life"? C'mon!
ReplyDeleteI admired "The Tree of Life." Singled it out in my mid-year round-up. However, I found that the film quickly evaporated from my mind. It had no staying power - with me, at least. Also, the titles on my list are films that I would willingly consider sitting through a second or third time. There you have it.
ReplyDeleteI have barely seen any of the movies mentioned. My in theater viewing this past year, sad to say, was made up comic book or action films. That said, I remember reading that even Sean Penn, the star of "Tree of Life" was not even sure what the movie was really about. For me, that speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteGood list - the apotheosis of the best of a lacking movie year.
ReplyDeleteGood list. We have some similarities: http://eriklundegaard.com/item/my-top-10-movies-of-2011
ReplyDeleteI need to see "Margaret" and "The Double Hour."
I'm particularly glad there's another "Young Adult"/Charlize Theron fan out there.
